HIS WORSHIP THE MAYOR.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —Wliilo listening to the announces of 4YA last evening I could not help wondering what has become of Dunedin’s mayor. We have a mayor, have we not? Certainly, and a good one. too. Yet the aforesaid announcer had not the courtesy to give him his proper title. This announcer repeatedly referred to our mayor simply as the Rev. E. T. Cox. This gentleman was placed in his present high position by the will of the citizens of Dunedin, and surely this 4YA announcer should have the courtesy when speaking in public of our mayor to give him the title attached to his dignified office.— 1 am, etc., Courteous. January 24. [We are assured by 4YA that no disrespect was intended, and regret is expressed for the apparent discourtesy.— Ed. E.S.]
