THIEF LOCKED IN BEDROOM -. Finding an intruder in ‘a third-floor bedroom in his master’s house, a butler of Mayfair, London, locked him in and telephoned for the police. . The- officer added that Devoy, who came of a very respectable family, ia Dublin, had only been out of hospital five days when he committed this offence. He appeared to be very sorry. On his promising to return to Ireland, the magistrate placed Devoy on probation for two years, with a condition to reside out of Great Britain.
