KINDERGARTEN BREAK-UP
'A particularly happy gathering, which was attended by a representative gathering of parents, characterised the break-up ceremony this morning of the Kaikorai Kindergarten. A short address was given by Mrs G. Bathan on behalf of the Free Kindergarten Council. She spoke in 'eulogistic terms of the work of the director (Miss Riley) and her staff and the untiring atten- ■ tion the children had received during the year. Mrs Bathan also spoke of the close co-operation that existed between- the kindergarten and the local committee, ; which had achieved _ much in assisting to keep the institution on a sound footing. The children then gave a graceful entertainment of action songs and exercises, the ceremony concluding, with their presentation of gifts to the parents.
