In the Council Chambers at Port Chalmers to-day three corporation leaseholds were submitted to auction. A quarter-acre section in Aurora Terrace was knocked down at £7 per annum to the previous tenant, an increase of 10s a year. A smaller section in Kaio Lane brought £3 10s per annum, also an increase of 10s. A farm section of 56 acres at Purakanui went to the previous tenant at £24 per annum. This was a decrease of £l2 a year since the lease was previously auctioned in 1921. All these sold at the upset rental, there being no competition,.
