He alleged that a coach not only ran up and down the side line, but was observed advising a player. While there was probably not a great.deal to gam by this it certainly had the effect of putting opposing players off their game. .—lt was decided to refer the letter to the Referees’ Association. FINANCE.

The convener of the Finance Committee (Mr James Hogg) reported on the state of the finances as a result of the Indian team’s visit. He urged players to take every opportunity to build up the capital fund, as the association had never been strong financially, and might easily be in need ot funds in the future. Mr Hogg also suggested that it would be a, great mistake to give funds to clubs to assist them to fulfil their ordinary obligations. The year’s revenue would show a minimum deficiency of £ls. The committee recommended that the sum of £8 8s be granted to the Otago Women’s Association out of the proceeds of the Indian match. —Approved.
