It. was announced at Wellington yesterday that the contract for the fabrication and erection of the steel framework of the new Government Life Insurance building in Wellington had been let to Messrs William Cable and Co., of Wellington. The total quantity of steel involved is nearly 3,000 tons, and the value of the contract to Yorkshire, manufacturers is approximately £35,000.
