N.Z. CARGOES DELAYED
THE CANADIAN PONT HOLD-UP [Pbr United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, August 12. Advice has been received by Messrs Henderson and Macfarlane Ltd. that the American steamer Golden btate, which was to leave Los Angeles on August 1 with a cargo from Pacific Coast pbrts for New Zealand, is delayed by the Canadian waterfront labour trouble, and her sailing for New Zealand is now indefinite. She has already loaded at British Columbia ports, but she is unable to complete loading at other ports. ...... The advice also states that tne steamer Golden Cloud, which is scheduled to leave Los Angeles for New Zealand on September 1, will bring cargo only from the Pacific Coast ports of the United States of America. She will not load at Canadian ports owing to the continuation of the waterfront trouble in Canada. No American cargo vessels have reached New Zealand from Pacific Coast ports since the steamer Golden Bear arrived at Auckland from Los Angeles on June 28. The steamer Golden Coast was to have followed the Golden Bear, and was to have left Los Angeles for Auckland on Julyl, but on account of the trouble she did not load, and sailing for New Zealand was cancelled.
