GUNSHOT FATALITIES. A'verdict thit the deceased died at the result of lacerations of the brain and other injuries caused by a selfinflicted gunshot wound was returned by the coroner, Mr Harper, at the inquest at Paekakariki concerning the , death of John James Beattie Craig. Francis Vivian Donald Richardson, aged 30, a postal, employee ? was found dead in bed at his home in Johnsonville. (Wellington) on Saturday morning, with a bullet wound in the head. A .22 rifle was in the bed. * At the inquest a verdict was returned of suw cide while mentally depressed. FOOTBALLERS IN HOSPITAL. ' Two players in a Fourth ' Grade Rugby match between Dunedin and Pirates, which met at Opoho, received injuries which necessitated their removal ‘to the Hospital, Both were admitted at 4.40 on Saturday suffering from concussion.
