M’CREADY V. WADE TO-MORROW Dunedin has been fortunate in securing a wrestling bout for which heavy demands have been entered by every centre during the past few weeks—that which will bring the much-talked-of

Earl M'Cready and Glenn Wade together for the first time. Claimant of the British Empire heavy-weight championship, the 27-year-old Canadian, M'Cready-, has given some brilliant displays in the north since coming to_ the Dominion, and he has gained decisive decisions over all seven of his contestants to date. Ho stands 6ft 2in and weighs 17st; and is a great wrestler, without being a showman. Ho gets right down to business, and tho fact that he has defeated such worldfamed grapplers as Hans Steinke, “ Strangler ” Lewis, Jim Browning. “ Jumping ” Joe Savoldi, and Gus Sonnenberg (who wrestled here last year) proves ■ that he has strength and

stamina, to say nothing of science His Nebraskan opponent, Glenn Wade, is well known to local audiences, since he has twice wrestled here. His style is just that of M'Cready—straight and hard—and though he will be required to give away much in height and weight, it is fully expected that he will give the big Canadian his most serious challenge in the Dominion. His record proves that he should be a* fit match—--16 bouts for 13 wins and 3 draws—while in the States, as a pupil of John Pesek, he beat Dan Kolon, Ad Santel, Hal Rumberg, Ted Thye, John Kilonis, and Dean Detton. Without doubt the irtatch should be one of the hardest and best of the New Zealand season, and bookings indicate that the Town Hall will be filled.
