The Exchequer returns show that th§ total ordinary revenue to date, excluding self-balancing items, amounts to £154,731,019, compared with £155,212,311 at the corresponding date last year. The revenue from Customa and excise was greater by £354,900 than for the same period last year, and only • £500,000 short of the estimated increase for the whole of the current year of £4,224.000. The total ordinary expenditure, exclusive of self-bal-ancing items, for the current year to date was £215,624,209, * against £207,111,335 at the corresponding date in. 1934. - • . - ' ‘
