OBSERVANCE IN DUNEDIN Intimation has been received from the Minister of Internal Affairs that Wednesday, August 7, has been fixed for this year’s observance of Arbor Day, and asking for the co-operation of the council in arranging fitting celebrations for the day. Instructions have accordingly been given, by the Reserves Committee of the City Council for a conference to be held of representatives of the committee, the High Schools Board, the Education Board, the Head Masters’ Association, and the Amenities and Town Planning Society . for the . purpose of making suitable arrangements for the observance of the occasion by the pupils of the secondary and primary schools.
