At a meeting of the Olive Branch Juvenile Lodge A.I). Bro. Connell presided over a good attendance. The A.D., officers, and members of Linden s Pride, accompanied by two brothers of the Linden Lodge, paid an official visit and received a hearty welcome. They accepted the invitiation to conduct the business of the evening. P.A._ Bro. Young, of the Bay Lodge, was officially welcomed, and later in the evening delivered an address on ancient and modern Druidism and tho lessons to be derived from it. A candidate was received into tho order, tfie ceremony being ably conducted by the visiting officers. A very pleasing evening was concluded with musical numbers. Tho half-yearly meeting of the Ivanhoe Lodge was held on Wednesday evening, A.D." Bro. Bird presiding over a good attendance of members and visitors. D.P. Bro. Patterson (No._ 1 District) paid tho lodge an official visit, as also did P.D.P. Bro. M'lntosh (Alexandra Lodge), and V.A. Bro. O’Leary (Lawrence Lodge). Invitations were received from the Royal Oak and Otago Lodges. I.P.A, Bro. Bird and V.A. Bro. H. A. Brockie were appointed delegates to the Royal Oak I.edge’s complimentary social J ' !’• Bro. Hunt. Friendly Societies’ Dispensary Committee’s annual meeting. D.P. Bro. Patterson, assisted by P.D.P. Bro M’lntosh. installed the following officers; —1.P.A., Bro. Bird; A.D., Bro. Dale; V.A., Bro. H. A. Brockie. treasurer, Bro. Wilson; M.C., Bro. Rainbow; 1.G., Bro. T. Gray; 0.G.. Bro. M'Cormack; A.D.B.’s, Bros. T. Borrow and W. T. Gray; V.A.B.’s. Bros. Vernon and Simpkins; minute secretary, Bro. W. Brockie; pianist, Bro. Lennon; auditors, P.A.’s, Bros. A. Cannon and J. D. Sinclair The usual loyal toasts were duly honoured and responded to by the visitors. Tho Ross-Stewart Shield team conducted the initiation ceremony. Tho quarterly meeting of the Enterprise Lodge was held last Wednesday, when Arch Druid Bro. W. Smaill presided over a good attendance of members. An invitiation was received from the Royal Oak Lodge for two delegates to attend a social function in honour of G.P. Bro. H. R. Hunt, and Bros. A. T. Workman and R. S. Webb were appointed to a tend. During the evening two candidates were admitted, the initiation ceremony being carried out by the team for the forthcoming RossStewart Shield competition. D.P. Bro. A. E.
