FROCKING AT WINGATUI

The Dunedin Jockey Club was favoured with perfect weather for the winter meeting at Wingatui, and patrons wore able to discard what can almost bo regarded at Dunedin races as the inevitable fur coat. Suits were almost general wear, with furs or brightly-coloured scarves, with a sprinkling of woollen frocks. In this connection the tunic holds pride of place, and is ideal for lovely sunny days, but those who ventured forth in frocks were glad to don their coats as the afternoon wore on. Hats were distinctive, and gave a bright touch to the winter scene. A few of the smart wide-brimmed ones were seen, and promise well for the early spring.
