OPTICAL ASSOCIATION
At' the monthly meeting of the Otago and Southland Optical Association a lecture on ‘ The Oscular Manifestations of a Disordered Nervous System ’ was given by Mr 11 Boyd. The speaker introduced his subject by stressing the wisdom of close research into the relation of the nervous system to the symptoms detected in the examination of patients. A brief outline of the nervous system then followed, leading on to treatment of nervous impulses' and the manner in which they are conveyed from the brain, the seat of all nervous action, to the various parts of the body. Mr Boyd then detailed some ocular troubles due to a disordered nervous system. The meeting concluded vyith a vote of thanks to Mr Boyd for his able treatment of the , technical aspect of this subject.
