Parera arrived from Wellington early this morning and is to sail this evening for Wellington, New Plymouth, and Port Waikato via ports. Breeze sailed last night for Timaru and Lyttelton to complete ■ loading for Wellington, Picton, and Wanganui. Orepuki is to sail on Monday night for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Wanganui. ' t Waipiata arrived from Auckland via ports last night and is to sail for Bluff at 10.30 to-night. She is to return on Tuesday to load for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Auckland. Karetu is due from Bluff to-morrow and is to sail on Monday afternoon for Oamaru, Lyttelton, and Westport, Wainui is to load at Dunedin on Tuesday for Wellington, Napier, and Gisborne via Oamaru. PERSONAL. Captain W. D. Cameron lias resumed command of the Rangatira, replacing F. Captain B. B. Irwin. Captain R. Pearson is now master of the Taupata. ;Mr D. J. Rutter, third officer of the Kiwitea, and Mr J. N. Collins, third officer of the Waipiata, hare exchanged, positions. • Mr J. Willis is now third engineer of the Waipiata. DURHAM AT AUCKLAND. The Federal Line’s new motor ship Durham arrived at Auckland from Liverpool on Tuesday evening, and is to unload cargo from West Coast ports of Great Britain. She was to sail today for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Bluff to complete discharge. e The vessel left Liverpool on March 30 and called at Las Palmas on April 5 to replenish her .oil fuel bunkers. After rounding the Cape of Good Hope on April 17 she experienced boisterous weather and rough quarterly seas in the Southern Indian Ocean. The wind on . two occasions reached gale force for about 24 hours. Afterwards tip conditions moderated. The Durham is one of the latest types of cargo carriers i, built for the carriage of refrigerated e and other cargo from New Zealand to • England. She is electrically controlled throughout, and her speel on her trials g was 18.4 knots. This speed wgs nearly reached when she was on the Australian coast on her maiden voyage. - , • PAKEHA FOR NEW ZEALAND, q The Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer e Pakeha is scheduled to leave Liverpool to-day with cargo; from West Coast • ports of Great Britain for discharge at . Having discharged the Dunedin portion of her freight from Pacific Coast ports, the Union Company’s chartered motor ship Indien sailed yesterday afternoon tor Bluff. She will leave the southern port about Monday for Melbourne and Sydney to complete discharge. The Indien will be handed over to her owners at Sydney. NARBADA LEAVES AUCKLAND. The Union Company’s chartered steamer Narbada,'which reached Auckland on May |'s - from Calcutta, Penang, Singapore, and Sama* rang, is due at-Wellington to-day to continue discharge of her Eastern cargo.
