RATES IN THE CITY OF DUNEDIN. | TVrOTICB IS HEREBY GIVEN that tho A V Dunedin City Council, pursuant to the powers vested in it by “ The Municipal Corporations’ Act, 1933,’’ and all other powers enabling it in that behalf, will, at a meeting of tho Council to be held at the Town Hall. Dunedin, on WEDNESDAY, the 29th day of May, 1935. at 7.30 p.m., make and levy ' the following rates and fee for the period commencing on tho Ist day of April, 1935, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1936—viz., (a) A GENERAL RATE, under Section AND'ONE PENNY (2s Id) in the Pound (£) upon the value of the rateable, property as appearing on the Valuation Roll for the time being in force in the City of Dunedin. 1 (b) A separate j-ate, to be known as the HOSPITAL RATE, under the authority of Section 52 of “ The Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1926,” of SIXPENCE (6d) in the Pound (£) upon the value, of the rateable property as appearing on the Valuation Roll for the time being in force, in the City of Dunedin, (e) WATER RATES, under Section 82 of “The Municipal. Act, 1933,” as follows,’that is to say:— ■ln respect of the ordinary supply— j Upon- all lands and buildings to j which water is supplied, the rateable ! value of which' on the Valuation Roll j does not exceed £l2 10s a rate of 10s; exceeds £l2 10s a rate of 3J per cent, for NINEPENCE (9d) in the Pound (£)] on such value. Upon all lands • and buildings ■ to which water can be but is not supplied, situate within 100 yards from any part of .the ’ waterworks; ' . and Upon all buildings used as stores or warehouses or for any purposes other than as dwelling houses, a rate of one-half of the rates abovementioned. (d) A SANITATION FEB. under Section 90 of “ The. Municipal Corporations’ Act, 1933.” of THIRTY-SIX SHILLINGS AND FOURPBNCE (36s 4d) per pan for the removal of NIGHT SOIL on all premises within the City of Dunedin to which such service is given. >’■ (e) GENERAL SEWERAGE .RATES as hereunder set forth under “ The Dunedin District Drainage and Sewerage Act, 1900 ” and Amendi ments thereof, and in pursuance of a resolution passed by the Dunedin Drainage and* Sewerage Board ordering ; such'rates to be made and levied by the Dunedin City Council— TW., ' (1) Upon every -SEWERED PROi PERTY a rate called the GENERAL SEWERAGE RATE of ONE SHILLING AND FOURPENCE (Is 4d) in the Pound (£) of the annual rateable value of euch property.
