’An electrical device for eliminating the possibility of doubtful lino decisions in tennis tournaments has been invented bv Mr Jack Lcavold, of Egliarn. His idea is to electrify the lines of the court in such a way that when a ball strikes the line it will cause a lamp to glow on the umpire’s chair, thus eliminating the possibility of a line ball being declared out.
