DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE Conditions generally were quiet but firm ,ou the market this morning. Bank ot New Zcalands maintained a buying inquiry at 48s 6d without revealing a seller. Buyers offered 3d more for Reserves and drew a seller at £6 12s. There was stronger inquiry for meat preserving shares, and South Otagos moved up to £6 11s. Xittle interest was displayed in Loan and Agency shares. Perpetual Trustees were, offered for sale at 68s, but buyers quoted their usual figure. Kaitangata Coals were on offer at 21s with buyers at £1 and Wcstports at 21s 6d without buyers. Bruce Woollen ordinaries eased to sellers at 14s, and the only other noticeable change in the miscellaneous section was -a hardening tendency in New Zealand Drugs. New Zealand Breweries moved up to buyers at 51s, with sellers Sd away. Both Electrolytic Zinc ordinaries and Mount Lyells had unsupplied buyers. Quotations were more numerous in the gold, raining sectioij, though few changes were recorded. Big Rivers were inclined to ease slightly, as were King Solomons. Persistent inquiries for Clutha River and Molyneux River shares, controlled by English syndicates* fail to reveal a seller. Okaritos remained in a weakened state, but Waihis continued to advance.
