LAND APPROPRIATIONS
GERMAN BOARD GIVEN WIDE POWERS Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright BERLIN, March 30. The Government has formed a board of land acquirement with dictatorial powers enabling it to expropriate and compensate owners of land required for military or other purposes, including afforestation, agricultural settlements, and road building. The board is also empowered to transplant elsewhere farmers whose land is commandeered. The board will supervise extensive appropriations already made for military aerodromes, barracks, camps, and fortifications throughout Germany.
