QUEEN CARNIVAL
MUSSELBURGH SCHOOL SUCCESS £6OO EXPECTED The queen carnival in connection with the Musselburgh School concluded on Saturday night, and tho financial result exceeded all expectations. The proceeds so far received reach the handsome total of £555, and it is expected this total will ho increased to £6OO. The utmost harmony and goodwill prevailed throughout, and all concerned—committee, staff, workers, and residents—entered into the carnival with the one object in view—the welfare of the children and tho school. The amount raised will be subsidised by tho Education Board and Department. It is intended to immediately furnish the school with separate tables and chairs, and also instal a new heating system. Standard IV. queen (Miss Gloria Cameron) was elected carnival queen, with Standard VI. queen (Miss Betty Thompson) a dose second, A crowning ceremony will be held at a later date.
