VISCOUNT BRIDGEMAN THE HEW CHAIRMAN (British Official Wireless.) Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright RUGBY, March 28. The Prime Minister _ (Mr Ramsay MacDonald) announced in the House of Commons that Viscount Bridgemau had been appointed chairman of the British Broadcasting Corporation m iplace of Dr J. H. Whitley, who died last month. Viscount Bridgemau has been a member of tho Board of Governors of the corporation since 1933. He is a former Homo Secretary and was First Lord of the Admiralty from 1924 to 1929. Mr H A. L. Fisher has now been appointed to tho vacancy on the board. Mr Fisher is warden of New College, Oxford. He was Minister of Education from 1916 to 1922.
