MAYORAL ELECTION.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —1 think the majority of people will agree that it is very bad taste on the part of Air R. S, Black to offer his services once again He is apparently determined to persevere with his candidature in spite of public opinion as evidenced by the last mayoral election. The citizens of Dunedin are certainly not under any obligation to either Mr or Mrs B. S. Black. A casket containing £l4O was collected for Mrs Black. Mr Black also received approximately £9 a week for his services during his terms of office. It is high time that our worthy deputy mayor, Mr J. J. Marlow, with his thirty-six years of good work, received his just reward. —I atn, etc., March 30. Oliver Twist.
