VILLAGERS' PLUCKY STAND SEVEN. KILLED IN NIGHT AFFRAY Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright CALCUTTA, March 28. Seven persons were killed and many hurt in a fierce fight between armed brigands and peasants in the village of Med, in the Baroda State. The brigands attacked at night time, but the inhabitants pluckily resisted, killing three raiders. Four of the defenders were fatally wounded. The brigands retreated to the jungle pursued by a crowd of angry women armed with knives and farm implements.
