EXPEDITING HOUSE'S WORK [From Our Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON. March 29. The present session of Parliament will not now conclude until next week. In order to expedite the business the House will sit on Saturday_ and Monday. which are not normal sitting days. The ultimate stages of the Rural Mortgagors’ Final Adjustment Bill were completely overshadowed by the interruption for the Finance Minister’s announcement of tending legislation for the winding up of the majority of the companies in the M'Arthur group, and the presentation of the voluminous reports of the inspectors who investigated the affairs of the various concerns. The Government had a majority of nine votes on the third reading of the farm Bill, which was passed by 30 votes fo 21. Mr Dowuie Stewart voted with the Opposition against bis party, but Mr Poison joined the Government m the ayes lobby.
