TECHNICAL CLUB The fifteenth annual meeting of the King Edward Ttcchuical College Old Boys’ Association Football Club was held last night, Mr .1. W. Patton (vicepresident) presiding over a good attendance of members, .The chairman extended a welcome to Messrs J. Simpson and M. Haig, members of the Otago -Football Association, and also to Mr A. W. Sinclair, secretary of the association. In speaking to the animal report and balance-sheet, the chairman said the club had had a very successful season, and he extended his congratulations to the first eleven in winning tho coveted Fletcher Cup, an honour which had come to tho club for the first time. 'The junior grades had also finished well up in their respective grades. Further honour had been brought to tho club by 11. Patton, C. Ives, .1. Witchall, and J. Skinner, all of whom were-selected to represent Otago, while 11. Dickison played in the junior representative team. Respecting the financial position, tho chairman stated that the bal-ance-sheet displayed a slight credit balance of £3 4s Id to start the current year, which, he thought,, was a matter for congratulation, as it showed an improvement on the previous year. Lindsay, George Watt, dub captain, secretary, treasurer, and captains of playing teams; senior selector, Mr J. Skinner, sen. Mr Thomas 'Scott was elected a life member. GENERAL. Tho following motion was carried:— “ That all back subscriptions except those owing by any player for the last season during which he played for the club bo wiped off. A player shall be considered financial for past seasons when this one back subscription has been paid. A player who is nnfinancial for past seasons will not be selected for any team. After tho date of the first day of June each year any player who lias not paid his subscription for the current season will only be eligible for selection after ail mem tiers who have paid have been placed, irrespective of grade. Any case of extreme hardship to he considered by the committee.” It was decided to join tho Otago Sports Protection Association. An invitation from the Canterbury Technical College Old Boys’ Association to visit , Christchurch for the usual Easter tournament was accepted, The opening practice was fixed for Saturday, April 6.
