SUPPORT FOR LORD NUFFIELD DUNEDIN'S CO-OPERATION In another part of this issue it is reported that Mr C. B. Norwood, who is accompanying Lord Nuffield on his tour of New Zealand, has telegraphed from Auckland requesting mayors throughout the dominion to open funds to supplement Lord Nuffieki’s gife of £6O,DUO towards the establishment of a home for crippled children. The mayor (the Rev. E. T. Cox) intimated this morning that gifts towards this worthy object would be gladly received at the Town Hall. His Worship stated that the University had been unable to accept Littlebourne House for a Conservatorinm ot Musi.', and, tailing the City Council being able to carry out the objective of the donors in making Littlebourne House a Vice-Regal residence, ho could see no worthier purpose to which the building could be put than a home for crippled children. Subscriptions towards the cause may also be sent to the office of the ‘ Evening Star.’
