FINE IN MEANTIME The following weather forecast- was issued at noon by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, covering the south* ern district—Dunedin, Port Tapanui, Winton, Invercargill, River* ton, Orepuki, Bluff, Halfmoon Bay:— A rather intense anti-cyclone lie* centrally over the dominion and fine weather prevails everywhere. Fore* cast: Light to moderate, but gradually increasing, north-east to north-wesfc. winds. Weather fine at first, but clouding over, and some showers probable to* morrow about Foveaux Strait. Tern-, peratures warmer. Seas smooth to moderate, but rising. A WARMER DAY. With the veering of the wind from south-west to north-east, a. warmer' temperature returned to Dnnedin to*, day. All morning bright, hot sunshine was experienced, and there was only a slight breeze. At noon the temperature was 73deg, and the baro-’ meter was steady at 30.1 in. Yes ter-, day’s temperatures for the full day were a maximum of 65.5 deg and a'\ minimum of 47deg. There has been' no rain since Tuesday,
