More than 100,000 men. all drawing unemployment pay or public assistance, are growing food in Britain under the scheme of the Central Allotment Committee. Each man pays 5s a year and has the us© of a plot measuring onesixteonth of an acre. Immunity from the law is granted to members of the Diplomatic Corps; their secretaries and servants resident in London. A pedestrian run down by an Embassy ■ car ,is powerless to take action unless the diplomat waives his privilege.
