During the sales at Burnside th'm afternoon those present met to pass a motion of sympathy with the widow and family of the late Mr William Cunningham. Mr J. A. 8. Henderson, president of the Master Butchers’ Association, referred to the deceased as a, highly respected man, who was one of the oldest buyers at the yards, and who at all times was a gentleman m the true sense of fclie word. Hg ( was of a kindly and charitable disposition, and was always ready to help those in need. Mr S. Guppies, chairman of the Auctioneers’ Association, and Mr R. T. Kirk president of the Otago A. and P. Society, endorsed the speakers’ remarks.
