PRISONERS SENTENCED

[Per United Press Association.] GREYMOUTH, February 27. In the Supreme Court Arthur Jones was sentenced to two years’ imprisonment and William Hall to one year, with an additional year’s reformative treatment. Both pleaded guilty to breaking and entering and theft from a brewery in Nelson on January I. They were also convicted of receiving clothing stolen on October 21 from the residence of A. J. Fairmaid, borough engineer, at Greymouth. Jones came from Australia with Wirth’s Circus. The circus asked that he be deported back. . William Davis was acquitted on a charge of using indecent language on New Year’s morning.
