(Received February 28, at 12.35 p.m.) On the Caulfield course proper Vintage beat la Trobe over a mile in Imin 4.Usee—a record. Closing Time beat Winooka by half a length over five furlongs in Imin Isec, and Homer beat Carnarvon in the same time. Gold Trail beat Flail and Eastern Chief in a mile and a-quarter gallop in 2min 16sec. King March and Contact ran ten furlongs in 2min Msec. Arachne sprinted four furlongs in 49-Jsec*, and Capris and Sir John recorded the same time.
