EXTENSION OF LIFE PROPOSED Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. MELBOURNE, January 22. (Received January 22, at 10.5 a.m.) The State Cabinet adopted a proposal by the Premier (Sir Stanley Argyie) that the electors at the State elections on March 2 be asked to agree to an extension of the life of the Assembly from three to five years on the ground that the present brief term is an unsettling factor in both political and economic life.
