HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE
CLEM DAWE REVUE The popularity of ‘ Laugh, Town, Laugh,’ the current production of the Clem Dawe Revue Company, shows no sign of diminishing, there being another large audience at last night’s presentation. As usual, the show swept along merrily, and it was not long before the audience was infected by the spontaneity of the fun and settled down to a night’s enjoyment. Clem Dawe was, of ourse, the chief comedian, and although he can produce some amusing buffoonery, he proved himself just as competent in a serious role. He was ably supported by Messrs Los White. Joe Shriner, Cliff O’Keefe, and Eric Edgely, all of whom were prominent in the majority of the sketches presented. Misses Muriel O’Malley and Ann Liicianno harmonised beautifully in a number of vocal items, while Mr Ralph Daly was also responsible for some delightful numbers. The dancing proved an exceptional treat, the adagio dancers, Halliday and Watson, rousing great enthusiasm-, while the work of Miss Edna Moncrieff was also noteworthy. The ballet was responsible for a number of attractive and competently executed pieces, while Tom King’s orchestra provided the incidental music. The current revue will continue until Thursday night, and there will he another complete change of bill on Friday.
