FREE CYCLE COMPETITION.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—-Now that Calder and Mackay’s competition is concluded, and all arguments over distance, radius, circumference, and time are settled, can someone please enlighten us on the subject of the “ home trainer ”? Does the motor drive the rollers for home training, or does the cyclist have to supply the means of motion P Also, for peace sake, can someone say whether the cyclist balance* the machine on the rollers, or is it supported by a stand during home training?— l am, etc., Peaceful. January 21.
