STATE OF BEACHES . “ Keep between the flags ” should b« the maxim of bathers at the three beaches—St. Clair, St. Kilda, and Tomahawk—during the week-end. Outside the flagged areas there are many dangerous holes. The St. Clair Life-saving Club reports that, apart from those cavities, the St. Clair beach is in splendid condition,although the heavy seas of last week carried away large_ quantities of sand.
