The quarterly meeting of Court Littlejohn was held on Tuesday evening, there being a full attendance of ofttcers and a large number of members. C.R. Bro. A. W. Christie presided A hearty Avelcome Avas extended to P.C.R; Bro. A. S. Sinclair, who had just returned from a visit to Melbourne and Ne>v South Wales. A cordial Avelcome Avas also extended to Sister M'Fadden, Avho had been unable to attend the meetings for a considerable time on account of sickness. P.C.R. Bro. D. Thomson reported on the visit to Court Bruce, twenty-six members making the journey. The visitors were -met upon arrival by a representative from the local court, and taken to their homes for tea. The meeting Avas held in the Masonic Hall. The officers of Court Littlejohn conducted the' initiation ceremony, and ivere congratulated by P.C.R. Bro. Nimon.on the creditable Avay the ceremony had been carried out. A most enjoyable time had been spent. The amended fules in connection Avith the court’s surplus, Avhich provides for the allotment of the surplus earned by members avlio joined the court up till 1912, Ai r as adopted. It was decided that the secretary convey to the members of Court JBruce the thanks of the court for the hospitality shoivn oil the occasion of the recent visit. DO R. Bro. Thomson rendered the toast of the “ Fallen Brethren ” in a -most impressive manner. After the court closed a community sing of Christmas hymns was held, after Avhich an adjournment Avas. made to the supper room, Avhere the sisters were entertained by the brothers. C.R. Bro, Christie, in extending a hearty Avelcome to the sisters, spoke of the good Avork they had done, not only from a social point of view but also in tbo working of the court. Secretary Bro. Wilson congratulated the court upon the Avork done during the past year. The court had the honour of having tAvo members on the district executive, D.G.R. Bro. Thomson and D.B. Bro Gibson. Both of these officers Avero carrying out their duties in a most satisfactory manner. S.C.R. Sister M'Morran, in responding for the sisters, said that they appreciated very much the kindness and consideration at all times shown them. The previous officers had set a high standard, and the sitting officers Avould make every effort to uphold that standard, P.C.R. Bro. A. S. Sinclair thanked the members for the Avelcome they had given him, and gave a brief summary of his visit to the Australian States. D.C.R. Bro. Thomson thanked the secretary for his complimentary remarks. They had both entered the district executive Avith the intention of doing their very best for the order in general. After supper a short dance Avas held, the music being supplied by Sister Hamer and Bro. W. T. Goughian.
