SUVA TO AUCKLAND
YAOKT SEAFARER'S GOOD PASSAGE [Per United Press Association.] . AUCKLAND, November 18. Flying the Suva and Akarana Yacht Clubs’ colours, the five-ton yawl-rigged yacht Seafarer arrived at Auckland from Suva to-day after a voyage of thirteen days. The passage was without incident. Easterly weather was experienced for the first four days and the vessel made excellent progress, averaging 120 miles a day. The wind then changed to the south and the Seafarer bore westward until 150 miles off North Cape, when easterlies were again experienced. The weather coming down the coast was thick with heavy rain. This is the second voyage which the Seafarer had made to New Zealand. Although the vessel was entered for the Tasman yacht race by the Tamaki Club, the skipper, Mr G. V. Langdale. of Suva, who is accompanied by three Suva residents and a Marqu'esan seaman, said he was unable to compete owing to other arrangements. He intends to return to Suva in three months’ time.
