COASTWISE MOVEMENTS. Parera arrived early_ this morning from Wellington, and is to sail this evening for Wellington, Nelson, Wanganui, Now Plymouth, and Port Waikato via Tirnaru and Lyttelton. Wainui arrived from Wellington early this morning, and is to sail to-morrow afternoon for Oamaru, Timanr. Lyttelton, Wellington, Napier, and Gisborne. Storm is due from Wanganui via ports to-morrow. She is to sail the same day for Tirnaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Picton, Wanganui, and New Plymouth.

Waimarino is duo from Bluff early tomorrow morning, and is to sail in tho afternooji for Tirnaru, Lyttelton, Picton, Wellington, and Auckland. 'Totara arrived from Westport on Sunday night to discharge a quantity of coal. She is to sail to-morrow for Tiitiaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Nelson, and New Plymouth. Waitaki is to leave Wellington this afternoon for Lyttelton and Dunedin. She is due on Wednesday, and is to sail on Saturday for Oamaru, Tirnaru, Lyttelton, Picton, Wellington, and Auckland. Kalingo is expected to leave Wellington to-night for Lyttelton and Dunedin. She is due on. Thursday morning, and is to sail on Friday for Bluff, Westport, Grey-mouth, Adelaide, and Melbourne. ' , Waipiata is to leave Auckland on Friday for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Bluff. She is due on Novemher 28. Gale is due from Wellington on Wednesday, and is to sail the same day for Tirnaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Wanganui.

INTERISLAND EXPRESS. The interisland express steamer Maori reached Lyttelton from Wellington at 7 a.m. yesterday. RUAHINE AT PORT CHALMERS. After an uneventful voyage from London, the New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Ruahine arrived at Port Chalmers yesterday morning. The vessel sailed from London on October 4, and arrived at Wellington last Wednesday morning, where she disembarked North Island passengers and discharged mails, and then proceeded to Lyttelton to commence discharge. The Ruahine has a large amount of London cargo for discharge at Port Chalmers. She will complete discharge at Bluff. Captain G. Kinnell'is in command' of the Ruahine, and his officers are: — Chief. Mr, J. P. Styrin ; second, Mr A. Hockm; third, Mrs F. R. F. Wilson; fourth, Mr D. S. .R. Martin; chief engineer, Mr D. Corbett; second, Mr A. Berry; third, Mr G. Rhodes; fourth, Mr ,1. CORNWALL FROM LIVERPOOL. The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the Cornwall is now due at this port on Thursday fj-om Liverpool via Auckland, Wellington, and Lyttelton. She has a large quantity of Home cargo for discharge. KALINGO FROM AUSTRALIA. Line’s chartered steamer City of Delhi is due on Wednesday from New York via northern ports to discharge American cargo. She will sail about Thursday for 4 us tralia to complete discharge. PERSONAL.

Captain W. Martin lias taken command of the Marama at Sydney, relieving Captain R. M. Kane, who, is now on holidays at that port. Captain J. L. Brisco, of the Kartigi, is now on holidays at Auckland. Mr W. Cole joined the Poolta as chief officer recently, relieving Mr J. Wauchop, who has gone to Lyttelton for holidays. Mr F. M'Master lias relieved Mr R. Gardiner as second engineer of the Maori.

Mr S. H. Head is relieving as second engineer on the Waitaki. Mr F. T. Quayle has relieved Mr W. W. Burgess on the Wairuna for holiday leave. Captain D. J. O’Donnell has resumed command of the Taupata, relieving Captain W. MacMillan. Mr J. Beaton has been engaged as second mate of the Taupata. relieving Mr R. H. King. Mr W. MacMillan is now chief officer of the Mataugi. Mr K. J. M'Conchie is proceeding to Sydney in the Monowai to join the Waipahi as purser. Mr C. Peagram, assistant purser of the Rangatira, has transferred to the Monowai i'n a similar capacity.
