MEETING OF EXECUTIVE A meeting of the executive of the Dunedin Bowling Centre was held on Saturday night, the following being in attendance;—Messrs J. Foster (in the chair), H. Rowley, J. H. Hinton, Knowles, T. Smith, AV. Richards,. W. R. Howard, J. Nelson, G. A. Nelson, >S. Devereux, J. J. Read, F. AV. Venn, W. Morrison, AV. J. Gladding, J. G. Butler, J. J. Davis, H. Cooke, A. Jake way. ST. HILDA’S IMPROVED POSITION. The secretary of the St. Kilda Club wrote stating that the club found itself in a position to take up the bye in the Saturday draw owing to several members, wiio had been inactive, playing again this season, and the influx of a few new members. A further tworink section was accordingly entered. —Received. UNPAID SUBSCRIPTIONS. In connection with unpaid subscriptions the following by-law was read;— “ No person who has been a member of a club shall, bo admitted to membership in another club unless he has paid all moneys due to such first-men-tioned club for subscriptions or otherwise : and, if so admitted, shall be expelled by the club admitting him Upon receipt of a direction oil that behalf from the centre, unless such person shall pay such moneys to the club entitled to the same within_ fourteen days after receipt of a notice so to do from the council or the centre. In the case of a club which is a joint stock company, the person so admitted shall be debarred from taking part in am- matches.” There was a short discussion. on the matter, and it was decided that the secretary advise each club of certain members who had failed to pay their subscriptions. MATCH COMMITTEE’S REPORT. The Match Committee’s report regarding unplaced games on November 3 was discussed, the chairman remarking that the committee’s decision fpreviously published) cleared the air a little. There would not be much trouble in future. ,It was decided to approve of the committee’s action in the matter.
CHRISTMAS TOURNAMENT. It was decided that the draw for tin Christmas tournament be made on December 15. GENERAL. , Accounts amounting to £2O 8s 5d were passed for payment. Air S. Devereux was appointed to the Green Committee in place of Air S. Hutchison. The question of standardising the .divisional pegs on greens was discussed, it being explained that_ lha pegs in use at present varied in width. It was decided to draw the attention of clubs to the rule which read—“ That four corners of tho rink shall be marked by pegs not less than one ITalf, nor more than one inch in width, driven into the top of the bank where practicable, the outside edges of such pegs to be the boundaries of the rink.’ ?
