The numbers of rich men are decreasing in France as ivcll as in the United States and Britain. In France there are only about 391 persons with incomes of £12,000 or over, a decrease of 460 m three years. Teacher (to class of juvenile girls): “ Can anyone tell me what a lie is? ” Smart Girl: “Please, teacher, a lie is an abomination to the Lord, but a very present help in time of trouble.”
