WELFARE LEAGUE AND RUSSIA.

TO TEE EDITOR. Sir, —1 was very disappointed with “ New Zealander’s ” reply. 1 knew ho must ho living on charity, but people in tho position of the New Zealand Welfare League that have never been up against it might think it possible to live on three farthings a week. I would also like to remind him that you can get a new house in Scotland for 10s a week, and I know tho unemployed in the Old Country are better off than here, for. they can find a market to suit their pockets. The sooner the unemployed leave off the living on charity “ stunt,” and remember the small pittance they receive is only enough to buy food the sooner the public will see their real suffering, and the New Zealand Welfare League will ho forced to look to New Zealand and leave Russia to look after her own affairs.—l am, etc., Belle.
