(Received September 26, at 1.30 a.m.)j The British Broadcasting Corporation’s Empire transmissions of the commentary on the launching of the Gnnarder 534 and the speeches by tbs King and Queen and by Sir Percy Bates (chairman of the Cunard Steamship Company), will be broadcast on September 26, at 2.60 p.m. (G.M.T.), and 8.25 p.m., and September 27 at 1.15 a.m. and 7.15 a.m. WEATHER PROSPECTS GOOD (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, September 25. (Received September 26, at noon.) The weather conditions promise to bd good for the launching of the Cunarder 534. The Queen will launch the great vessel by pressing three buttons.One will release a bottle of wine, which will be smashed against the bows. Another will release the holding apparatus, and the third will operate hydraulic driving rams. At this point 40,000 tons of fashioned steel, steadied by 2.500 tons of drag chains, will begin its slow two minutes’ run down tha greased slipway into the Clyde.
