MANCHESTER SPINNERS
REORGANISATION IN COTTON INDUSTRY (British Official Wireless.) Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright RUGBY, September 25. (Received September 26, at 11 a.m.) An, important step towards the reorganisation of the cotton industry in Lancashire was taken at Manchester, when a mass meeting of spinners of Kgyptian yarn decided upon a legal agreement for fixing prices. When completed it will provide for the inspection of mill books and the imposition of fines for breaches of the agreement. It is anticipated that other sections of the cotton industry will follow a similar course with a view to ending undercutting in prices.
