BURGLARS AT WORK

SAFES FORGED GLEAN SWEEP AT DRAPERY STORE [Per United Press Association. J September 26. Working under cover of the bad weather, two daring gangs of thieves were active in the city last night. Two railway stations, Woolston'and Heathcote, were entered and the safes forced. Connected with this series was the theft of tools from the mills of the Kaiapoi Woollen Manufacturing Company. Eight pound in money was all that was obtained. In addition to these thefts, there was a sensational theft in the Spreyclon district, where a daring gang made almost a clean sweep of goods from the drapery store of Mrs E. A.
