(Received-September 13, at 2 p.m.) The ‘ Herald ’ says that unofficial but reliable private advices from London stated that the former Governor of South Australia, Sir Alexander HoreRuthven, had been offered and had accepted the Governorship of New South Wales in succession to Sir Philip Game, whose term expires next year.
