AMATEUR CYCLING

FIFTY MILE CHAMPIONSHIP The fifty-mile Otago amateur road cycling championship will be hold on Saturday, commencing from Burnside at 2. . The course selected for the race is the same as last year’s. Commencing from Burnside, the riders proceed along the Main South road, branching off at Henley, from hero the course runs through to Berwick, Woodside, then through Outram. along the foot of the hills, turning off at Hazlett’s. From here the riders will travel past the aerodrome, on the Mosgiel side, along Gladstone road past the railway station, turning in to Riccarton road. From this point the course loads back on to the main highway, up Saddle Hill, and eventually finishing at Green Island.
