GASWORKS CRICKET CLUB
. The annual meeting of the Gasworks Cricket Club was held at the works, the president (Mr- J. Douglas) .occupying the chair.' About twenty members were ■ present. The annual report and balance-sheet were adopted on the motion of the president, who said that the club had a very successful season. He also thanked the committee for loyal support during his term as chairman, and the treasurer and secretary for the good work they had done to put the club in such a sound position. ■ The election of officers resulted:—■ Patron, Mr A. Couper; president, Mr C. Isaac; vice-presidents'—Messrs W. R. Brinsley, W. A. Scott, P. C. Webb, M.P., J. J. Marlow. F. Jones, M.P., J, B. Shaddock, W. H. Shepherd, H. C. Campbell; committee—Messrs J. Doug, las, R. Smith, G. Currie, R. Holt, B. Sharp; treasurer. Mr B. Dagger; secretary. Mr W. Turner; honorary audu tor, Mr T. Shannon.
