The Compaguie Generale Transatlantiqne has floated a loan of 120,500,000 francs to cover the construction of the 79,000-ton Normandie. The Government guarantees the interest under the convention, which provides an annual subsidy of from 60,000,000 to 150,000,000 francs in return for mail and other services that the Normandie will render.
