PRIME MINISTER'S CAMPAIGN PRAISE FOR BANKS. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright SYDNEY, September 11. The Prime Minister (Mr J. A. Lyons), who is electioneering in the country, declared at Cowra that if the Federal Parliament desired he would have no hesitation in arranging a competent committee of investigation into the monetary system of Australia. He had no doubt that such an inquiry would demonstrate the wonderful work that had been achieved during the depression period by the Commonwealth Bank, in conjunction with the trading banks.
