PERTH TO SYDNEY KINGSFORD SMITH'S RECORD FLIGHT Proa* Association—-By Telegraph—Copyright SYDNEY, September 11. Completing his'record-breaking flight from Perth, which was begun at dawn, Sir Charles Kingsford Smith, in the Lady Southern Cross, landed at Mascot aerodrome at 4.17 this afternoon. His time between Perth and Adelaide was about six hours ? and his average speed 233 miles, while at one stage, for forty-four minutes, he maintained 272 miles an hour. He had a following wind most of the way and rarely flew below 9,000 ft. The actual flying time between Perth and Sydney, 2,175 miles, was 9h 32min. The plane was refuelled ot Adelaide, not Forrest as anticipated.
